Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (B.U.M.S.)
The BUMS course at Aligarh Unani Medical College is meticulously designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Unani medicine.
Course Duration:
- The B.U.M.S. program spans 4.5 years, divided into three professional phases of 1.5 years each.
- This is followed by a one-year internship, which includes 6 months of internal training and 6 months of external practical experience.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualifications: Candidates must have a Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Agriculture as optional subjects.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 50% in PCB is required.
- Entrance Exam: NEET qualified.
- Age: As per Government regulations.
- Reservation: Reservation policy is in line with U.P. Government entitlement.
Sanctioned Intake Capacity:
- 60 seats (Approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, and NCISM).
Fees Structure:
- Tuition Fee: ₹2,04,000 per year, or as per state government regulations.
- Examination Fees: ₹20,000 for each professional phase (3 times).
- Admission Fees: ₹20,000 (one-time), which includes the University Registration Fee, apron, doctor kit (including a digital thermometer, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, doctor torch, and medical kit), first professional book set, digital library fees, practical fees, and educational tour.
