Benneth Iwuchukwu’s The Spirituality in Science Recently Wins Five Major International Book Awards

The Spirituality in Science (Second Edition) by Benneth Iwuchukwu has taken the global literary world by storm, winning five distinguished honours that recognise its bold and boundary-shifting thesis. The book has been awarded:
- Atlas of Stories Award
- The Bookish Reader’s Pick Award
- Book World Front Award
- Booknomad Tales Five Stars Award
- Global Spines Book Award
With other accolades from both critics and readers including the May 2024 BREW Readers’ Choice Award Book of the Month and BREW Readers’ Choice Award 2024-2025 Finalist, The Spirituality in Science has cemented its place as one of the most thought-provoking and controversial works of recent times.
In a world where long-held beliefs often go unchallenged, Iwuchukwu’s book steps forward not just as a challenge to spiritual orthodoxy, but as a philosophical provocation. The author posits that spirituality—once essential for human survival—is now mankind’s greatest illusion. According to Iwuchukwu, as we enter a new era of human evolution, it is science and the full use of the human brain that will lead us to fulfil the Biblical prophecy of man becoming like God.
Drawing inspiration from the story of Galileo—who was condemned by the Church for asserting that the Earth revolved around the Sun—Iwuchukwu argues that history is once again at a crossroads. Just as science ultimately triumphed over geocentric dogma, so too, he claims, will reason and scientific discovery triumph over religion and mysticism.
“This book is not merely another critique of religion,” says Iwuchukwu. “It’s a manual for the future of humanity—one that equips readers with the vision and intellectual tools to move beyond worship, toward wisdom.”
Whether embraced or opposed, The Spirituality in Science is impossible to ignore. It’s a provocative call to action for thinkers, dreamers, and seekers of truth—especially those bold enough to consider that perhaps divinity is not bestowed, but achieved.
The Spirituality in Science is available globally in print and digital editions. For those ready to engage with its radical ideas, the time is now—before, as the author cheekily warns, “it is banned.”

ABOUT THE BOOK
In The Spirituality in Science, Benneth Iwuchukwu explores the arc of human history to argue that spirituality, like alchemy and the belief in a flat Earth, will eventually be discarded in favour of science and technology. The book asserts that religion and mysticism were once crucial coping mechanisms for humanity’s early helplessness, but now hinder progress. With fearless clarity, Iwuchukwu suggests that the full application of the brain—the human “microcomputer”—will one day eliminate the need for divine reliance. Humanity, he says, is on the brink of fulfilling the ancient prophecy: becoming gods not through faith, but through understanding, innovation, and intellect.
